Our performance marketing team is growing! We’re looking for an independent + data-driven marketer who is process-oriented and generates results through daily account analysis, account management, and staying on the cutting edge of search engine algorithms and industry changes/trends. This role also supports the Br8kthru team by wearing many other ‘hats’ as needed in a growing marketing + technology company.

Sr. SEO Strategist Responsibilities + Areas of Focus

Overview

The Sr. SEO Strategist is a data-driven marketer who is process-oriented and generates results through daily account analysis, account management, and staying on the cutting edge of search engine algorithms and industry changes/trends. The Sr. SEO strategist is responsible for the research required to derive strategic insights into effective keyword usage (both branded & non-branded), as well as tracking and measuring results. They will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all SEO efforts, reporting + analysis, and serve as a point of contact for Br8kthru clients, when applicable.

The ideal candidate will have 4 or more years of relevant SEO experience, demonstrate deep critical thinking, possess a solid understanding of search marketing (SEO + Paid Media) for a variety of Clients (eCommerce, B2B lead gen, DTC, etc.), and be outfitted to accelerate Client + team growth by driving organic results.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct keyword and topic research to understand consumer intent among relevant target audiences
  • Develop on-page optimization and information architecture recommendations focused on improving the customer search experience
  • Collaborate on, develop, and implement data-driven SEO content outlines and content plans
  • Contribute to cross-channel media strategy (content marketing, paid media, email, etc.) through the discovery, planning, and execution process
  • Build and execute client SEO efforts using all available tools and resources
  • Manage day-to-day SERP results tracking, content updates, link tracking, and keyword tracking for client accounts
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for all reporting including status reports, monthly reports, and ad hoc requests
  • Use analytics + data analysis to provide additional insight beyond standard reporting
  • Research trends, updates, and new opportunities and present to internal and client teams
  • Work with other team members to ensure the best results for clients
  • Be point of contact for account strategists, PMs, and vendors
  • Demonstrate clear communication skills through written reports/documents and in-person meetings and presentations
  • Google Analytics certified
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager and tracking/measurement frameworks and additional technical SEO methodologies
  • Bonus: Google AdWords and/or SEM experience

Work Environment
